In The Bahamas, conch holds a special place in the hearts and palates of locals, often considered a national treasure. Its deep-rooted origins and versatile uses are celebrated across the islands. Yet, despite its popularity, there was a glaring gap in the market – no Bahamian stock and broth manufacturer existed to capture the essence of this beloved ingredient.
But it wasn't just a local issue. Around the world, conch enthusiasts were left with limited options beyond dried or raw conch. No manufacturer globally was producing conch-based stock or broth products, leaving a void in the culinary world.
Recognizing this untapped potential, we set out to fill the gap. Phinda Roots Collaborations Ltd, trading as PURE FLĀVA, was established with a clear mission: to make the savory goodness of conch accessible and sustainable for everyone — from home cooks to professional chefs.
We aim to transform culturally iconic conch into premium, globally appealing, and sustainable products, beginning with our first offerings of fresh, all-natural broths and more.
Our journey began with a commitment to innovation and quality. We wanted to create a product line that not only captured the essence of conch but also offered convenience, nutrition, and versatility. Taneca affectionately dubbed the Idea Generator
TMW has nearly 20 years in the natural health and wellness industry before venturing into the Food and Beverage sector, which was a leap into the unknown to say the least. She considers herself to be a Passionate Learner, embracing new knowledge through research, experiences, and conversations.
She is Detail-Oriented and very organized doing her best to keep operations running as smooth, efficient and clear as possible. She is also Resourceful and Solution-Oriented, tackling challenges creatively, and she considers herself to be Driven by goals; continuously striving for improvement, both personally and professionally, which she believes has significantly contributed to Phĭnda Roots Collaborations t/a PURE FLĀVA progress in this new venture thus far.
About CTL
Tamika affectionately dubbed the Innovator
CTL is a Grand Bahama native and self-proclaimed epicurean. Having begun a professional career in the maritime industry, Tamika ventured into the Food and Beverage industry as the owner and Head Salad Maker of Your Catered Fix in Freeport where she specialized in fresh salads, sandwiches and soups, from 2017-2022.
She says she became the creator of “happiness”; turning the hobby of cooking into a passionate way of life! Now, as the co-founder of PURE FLĀVA, she is excited to continue that same happiness as she and the team endeavor to bring fresh authentic island 'FLĀVAs ' that are uniquely Bahamian to local and international markets.
About CTK
Christine affectionately dubbed the Grower
CTK is a highly accomplished executive manager. She has 40 years of domestic and international experience in operations, P & L (profit and loss) management, multi- channel product distribution, strategic positioning, acquisitions, and strategic planning with both start-ups and growth organizations.
Christine brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the A-team as a result-oriented team player, with proven success in new market identification, strategic thinking, and problem solving. She has a proven track record of increasing sales, local and international market share, and profitability. Born, raised and also living in the Bahamas, Christine is also committed to community building throughout the Bahamas through this auspicious endeavor.
